The poop on the scoop of my last five years. The short story is that I have changed careers and locations. I am now an Albertan. Even though I still consider myself to be from British Columbia. The sad part is that I was actually born in Ontario.
So, I now manage a meat department for a grocery store. The work itself sucks.(Like what work doesn't?) However the pay is good and the benefit package even better so I'm not going to complain to much.
Back in Bella Coola a few years ago I was working part time in one of the local grocery stores as a meat clerk, basically I just stocked the shelves on the managers day off. Being faced with increasing bills and a lack of work due to the impending winter I decided it was time to move to where the work was. I mentioned to the general manager that I was willing to relocate and before I knew it I was being moved to Vegreville Alberta and placed in the management training program. I didn't care to much because the money was better and there is always that benefits package. After my training was done they shipped me here. A small town in northern Alberta called Manning. Basically a shit hole, but I only have to be here for 2 years until I can move again. I'd like to go either back to BC or some place much more south then here.
That, in a nut shell, is it. So here I sit.
Oh, I did get a new car not to long ago. A metal flake black 2003 Chrysler Intrepid. I love this car. :-)
